This Illinois county tested VRAM/LJS cores with the Direct Compact Tension Test (DCT) and the Illinois Flexibility Index Test (I-FIT). They surmised, "The addition of the J-Band contributes to a more durable joint by partially filling the joint and adjacent mat air voids. The joint will be much less permeable and less likely to allow water infiltration."
